Liturgy and Music

Music is a vital part of worship at Saint Francis. The links we share here are a way for our cottagers and homebound to stay connected, as well as for our parishioners to enjoy music or liturgy selections they may have missed or would like to hear again.
The choir at Saint Francis has approximatelyPiano keyboard 20 volunteer members. We are an affiliate member of The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) and we use Voice for Life methods in our choral training. Our sanctuary contains an Allen organ with two manuals, a Steinway M-series grand piano, and the glockenspiel that was first instrument used to accompany hymn-singing at Saint Francis.

To our guests: If you are a chorister and would like to sing with our choir during your visit to the beach, we welcome you. You will most definitely want to experience choral singing in our “perfectly tuned acoustic bowl.” Choir rehearsals are Wednesday from 4:30-6:00pm and Sundays at 9:00am.

An anthem that is especially dear to our congregation is
Make Me a Channel of Your Peace: The Prayer of Saint Francis
Click here to hear it as sung on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013,
by a congregation of approximately 300 people.

The musical offerings we share are in the public domain or are works by publishers from whom we have purchased all applicable licenses and sharing rights. Permission to share the music in these services has been obtained from OneLicense.net or CCLI. If you have questions about our licenses, please contact the church.
